Sustainability is a central component of IKA's corporate strategy. The topic has gained significantly greater importance throughout the entire IKA Group since the management buy-in in 2020, which is linked to a strategic realignment. Today, sustainability forms a key framework for our five core values:

These values influence our daily actions. They are most effective if authentically implemented by our employees and managers. For us, sustainability arises from the interplay of two important perspectives: legal and regulatory requirements on the one hand, and our company's value-driven convictions on the other. Both complement each other and brings us together toward our goal – responsible and future-oriented corporate development.
Part of VinylPlus® - our contribution for sustainable PVC-value creation
As an active member of VinylPlus®, the voluntary commitment initiative of the European PVC industry, IKA Group is committed to continuous improvement along the entire PVC value chain. VinylPlus pursues ambitious sustainability goals – including resource efficiency, circular economy, responsible production, and transparent reporting.
Participation in VinylPlus allows us:
- to implement clear sustainability standards in production and product development,
- to use resources more efficiently and strengthen recycling streams,
- to promote innovative solutions in line with the circular economy,
- and to work together with industry partners on the further development of sustainable PVC solutions.
OCS-Pledge 2025 - Commitment to combating pellet losses
In 2025, IKA signed the Operation Clean Sweep® (OCS) Pledge – an international industry initiative to prevent pellet, powder and flake losses throughout the entire process chain. With this commitment, we commit to implement strict measures to prevent plastic spills, reduce environmental impact and strengthen the protection of waters and ecosystems.
By implementing the OCS program, we optimize our internal processes, strengthen our environmental awareness and continuously improve our standards in terms of cleanliness, material handling, and accountability.
Transparency through our sustainability report
With our "Sustainability Status Report," we are creating a tool that documents our commitment transparently and comprehensibly – both for our employees and for external stakeholders, business partners and the public.
The report presents our achievements in the areas of economic, environmental and social sustainability.
